Overview

The ICU & Critical Care department is at the heart of many life-saving treatments. Equipped for round-the-clock care, our intensive care units (ICUs) handle various scenarios where continuous monitoring is essential. Patients are typically transferred to the ICU from emergency wards or the general ward if their condition becomes unstable. The department's aims are: To improve global standards of care for the sickest patient population. To participate in quality research work for advancing the field of Critical Care. To teach physicians, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals. To promote affordable healthcare and equitable distribution of critical care resources.

Technologies Used

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation

ECMO, or Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, is a life-saving technology providing temporary cardiac and respiratory support. It uses an external artificial lung to oxygenate blood, vital in severe cases of heart or lung failure.

Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring technology

Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring technology involves continuous assessment of cardiovascular function to guide patient care. It measures parameters like blood pressure, cardiac output, and fluid status, aiding in optimizing treatment for critically ill patients.

Plasmapharesis

Utilizing multiples PCR and NGS( Next generation sequencing) for early diagnosis of infection and identifying resistance pattern.
